The post holder has the following tasks in particular:

• Monitoring, support and consolidation of the university's video surveillance system for both campuses,
• Technical support of the media technology at the Zittau site, carrying out minor repairs and providing technical support for employees and external users,
• Administration of the access control systems, including data maintenance, programming of time schedules and management of door and locker systems, taking future digitalization into account,
• Monitoring and functional safeguarding of burglar and fire alarm systems, coordination of maintenance work with external service providers,
• Support and maintenance of the existing telecommunications systems/analog devices on the Zittau campus,
• Maintenance and updating of the division's software applications installed on the HRZ servers,
• Supervision of external companies including briefing on premises and access regulations,
• Securing the technical on-call service at the Zittau site.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• Completed vocational training related to the above-mentioned area of responsibility (e.g. electrician, electronics technician for information and systems technology or comparable),
• Several years of relevant professional experience,
• Basic network knowledge (TCP/IP, LAN, WLAN).

The following are also desirable

• Familiarity with digital access control systems and corresponding software solutions,
• Experience in the areas of University Administration and structures,
• Interest in new trends and technologies in the field of university applications.
