Dear users of the HS mail system,


As already announced several times, the previous mail system will be gradually migrated to the new Groupwise mail system by 01.06.2010.
The new mail system has been installed on a new, more powerful server system. By default, your new mailbox has a size of 2 GB.

The old mail server will remain in use for a few more months. The shutdown will be announced in good time.

It is guaranteed that you will still be able to access your old mailbox as usual.
If necessary, you can copy your data from the old mail server to the new Groupwise server.


All users who have already switched their mailbox to Groupwise in advance can receive and process their mail as usual.


From Friday, 28.05.2010, there may be short-term irregularities in mail traffic during the changeover.


Employees who have not yet installed the Groupwise client or set up a Groupwise account in Mozilla Thunderbird or Outlook,
please note the following information:

- during the changeover phase until 01.06.2010, incoming e-mails may end up in both mailboxes. If necessary, please check both mailboxes.

- after the changeover, from 01.06.2010, you will only find your incoming e-mails in your new Groupwise mailbox.

- The previous mailbox will be retained. The data stored there (mail, contacts ...) will not be deleted.
- No e-mails will be lost!

- After the changeover, access to your new mailbox will be via the web access portal.hs-zigr.de/gw with your "normal" Novell login until Groupwise is set up on your PC.
-> If the login to Groupwise is denied, your mail account has not yet been converted. The conversion of users will be done step by step. Please try again later.


When using group or collective addresses, there may be restrictions until the changeover is completed on 01.06.2010.
