The book market is full - of older, new and brand new books. It's hard to find your way around and boring to read just for yourself. The two Görlitz residents Lukas Rietzschel and Raj Kollmorgen, the former a celebrated writer and critical explainer of the Lausitz and East German mentalities, the latter a well-known sociologist who deals with the changes in his region as well as with world history and global dynamics today, accept this challenge. In this format, they will introduce each other and the audience to new books from the fields of fiction, poetry and non-fiction. Reading meets counter-reading, thesis meets counter-thesis, recommendation meets criticism and rejection. The charm lies in the reciprocal and at the same time critical exchange of reading experience and interpretation. The audience is involved in the debate and participates in setting priorities and making judgments.
