In combination with energy-efficient hardware modules, embedded and edge AI solutions offer a wide range of possibilities for the development of intelligent field devices and cyber-physical systems as well as in the field of wearables and xR technologies.

The aim of the project is to research AI methodology technologies, identify innovative application possibilities and test them in practical test samples in the areas of embedded and edge AI. The technical/scientific content consists of the research and development of necessary AI methods and algorithms to realize identified use cases and application requirements of the project partners with the Edge AI SoCs to be developed. In this context, the position holder will coordinate the further training of the companies involved in the project and their employees as well as future specialists in the fields of SoC, Edge AI and xR technologies and develop corresponding further training concepts. These concepts will then be filled with content in cooperation with the project partners. The job holder (m/f/d) will be responsible for the following tasks in particular:

• Development of suitable digital and analog training formats,
• Development and coordination of customized continuing education offers in the context of lifelong learning,
• Integration of the further education concepts developed into the overall HSZG offer,
• Integration of current research findings from the university into the continuing education programs in order to ensure direct practical relevance,
• Investigation of existing regional and supra-regional continuing education programs,
• Empirical examination of the effectiveness of the learning and teaching scenarios as well as technology-oriented acceptance in cooperation with companies in the region,
• Coordination of cooperation with project partners, participation in scientific exchange and discourse with industry and research partners,
• Preparation and presentation of project reports, scientific contributions for publications and conferences.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• Completed scientific university degree,
• Didactic competence and experience in the design of learning scenarios in adult education,
• Knowledge of project management,
• Knowledge in the use of MS Office/Latex,
• Knowledge of common graphics programs,
• Written and spoken German and/or English (B2), project language German,
• confident appearance and communication skills.

The following are also desirable

• Knowledge of further education and learning platforms such as LinkedIn Learning, Udemy for Business, Docebo, OPAL, Moodle, etc.
• Expertise in the field of engineering and interest in applied research,
• Experience in the design and implementation of continuing education programs for companies,
• Knowledge in the application of qualitative and quantitative methods for the analysis and acquisition of training needs,
• Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team and independent working style,
• Interest in working with companies and applying research results in practice,
• Experience in writing scientific texts.
