On September 26, 2014, managers from the Liberec Academic Library, the Liberec University Library and the University Library of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, which hosted the meeting this time, met once again to exchange experiences. One of the aims of the meeting was to find points of contact for further cooperation between the three libraries. The inspiration for this came not least from the positive experiences and success of an Objective 3 project that ended at the end of November 2014.
Relevant topics were quickly identified in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. For example, the requirements of library users on both sides of the border appear very similar, although the measures for addressing users and the services on offer are different in some cases. Another burning issue is how to deal with the increasing cost pressure, which is mainly caused by price increases in media procurement. Here, further exchanges of experience or projects can generate positive impulses for all three libraries.
The next working meeting will take place on 6 October 2014 in Liberec.
