On September 30, 2015, around 80 students from the class of 2015 took part in the introductory event of the Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering Management. The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Straßberger, opened the academic year for the Housing and Real Estate Management (BWd15), Business Administration (WB15 and WBb15 students from DKU Almatiy) and Industrial Engineering (WW15) degree programs. This traditionally included statements on the organization of the faculty, results of previous students, requirements for the upcoming study process, the good educational basis for the studies and the international relations of the faculty. He appealed to the new students to strive for personal excellence right from the start.
Drawing on experiences from previous years, Prof. Kroschel, Chair of the Faculty's Examination Board, illustrated the need for determined learning from the very beginning of the degree course. He informed the students about their rights and the legal consequences of their actions. Prof. Kroschel made it clear that any negligence in the study process entails the risk of failure in the course of study.

Ms. Ariane Barth and Dominique Hausmann, 7th semester Business Administration students and members of the Faculty Student Committee of Faculty W, presented, among other things, the student representatives in the faculty and at the university. They also referred to the opportunities for student leisure activities and shared experiences from their time as students.
Dr. Richter and Ms. Lübeck prepared our students for the upcoming language course at our university in a separate event.
Prof. Fichna informed the BW students, Prof. Muche the WB students, Mr. Kalz the DKU WBb15 students and Prof. Schütte the WW students about the special features of the respective courses.
The students left the events in House II with a smile on their faces, with the aim of spending their first lunch break in the canteen.
In the afternoon, staff from the University Computer Center and the University Library gave a briefing.
