On August 1, 2025, an introduction to the knowledge management tool Obsidian took place in the meeting room at BTU Cottbus.
The event was aimed at interested employees of the practical research centres who would like to optimize knowledge organization at the centres with the help of Obsidian.
Erik Hofedank guided the participants through the basics of the software from 10:30 to around 15:30 and showed practical application examples. Particular attention was paid to the possibilities Obsidian offers for recording and analyzing actors and networks - a central element of practical research work.
The diverse participation from all practice-based research centers was particularly pleasing, which enriched the interdisciplinary exchange and discussion of possible applications in different research contexts.
The workshop offered space for exchange, individual questions and initial practical exercises with the software. The participants were thus able to gain a sound introduction to Obsidian and explore its potential for their respective work contexts.
