At the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, the position of

Head (f/m/d) of Human Resources and Legal Affairs

(Keyword: Head of DPR)

 

to be filled at the earliest possible date for an indefinite period.

The job includes the following tasks in particular:

  • Advising and supporting the university management and executives as well as participating in university decisions
  • Management of the division with the Human Resources Management, Human Resources Development and Legal Affairs departments
  • Responsibility for processing all personnel, appointment and legal matters
  • Continuous further development of the HR management system as part of the digital transformation
  • Responsible for coordinating co-determination under staff representation law (trusting cooperation with the Staff Council)
  • If necessary, deputizing for the Chancellor and performing the duties of the deputy election officer and the training officer
  • Coordination of and participation in personnel projects
  • Contact person for the SMWK and LSF in the area of responsibility
  • Management of the small official seal

 

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • State examination or academic degree (university Master's degree or Diplom, accredited Master's degree from a university of applied sciences), preferably in the field of law with a focus on labor and social law
  • Several years of practical professional experience in the field of personnel and project management
  • sound knowledge of public service law, labor and collective bargaining law, university law and management
  • Experience in the application of modern HR management tools and methods
  • Experience and skills in managing larger work areas, preferably in human resources management
  • the ability to prioritize, as well as skills in change management, personnel and organizational development
  • very good communication skills, constructive and results-oriented pursuit of goals, strategic and operational decision-making and assertiveness skills
  • Good written and spoken English skills

very good communication skills. You are able to pursue goals constructively and in a results-oriented manner and make responsible decisions. You should cultivate a cooperative management style and have strong social skills and sensitivity for people and situations. The ability to design and regulate gender-equitable working conditions and intercultural skills round off your profile.

Further information

The remuneration for employees is determined by the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L). If the personal requirements are met, the employee will be placed in pay group 14 TV-L. If the necessary requirements are met, civil servant status is possible. The post is assigned to the second entry level of career group 2 and offers development opportunities up to grade A 14.

The position is not suitable for part-time employment.

The first place of work is Zittau. Regular presence at the university location in Görlitz is required as part of the job. A probationary period will be agreed.
