Successful reaccreditation of the "Integrated Management" and "Integrated Management Systems" degree programs
On September 29, Prof. Jana Brauweiler had two reasons to celebrate, as the two Master's degree programs "Integrated Management " and "Integrated Management Systems" were successfully reaccredited for seven years each, according to the decision of the review jury.
Both courses were assessed by external experts, the so-called Advisory Board, over the past few months. The accreditation decision was then made on the basis of the results. It is particularly noteworthy that the reaccreditation, after the degree courses in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, was awarded for only the second time "without conditions" and therefore without quality deficiencies. Jana Brauweiler is particularly pleased about this because the first accreditation was also granted without any conditions.
"The successful reaccreditation of our degree programs confirms that we work in a quality-oriented manner and is an important recognition of the dedicated work of our entire team. The external assessment by the Advisory Board gives us new impetus for the further development of the content and structure of the degree programmes, e.g. with regard to subject content that can be expanded or organizational optimizations." Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Jana Brauweiler, Professor for "Integrated Management Systems"
The professor looks back on a successful reaccreditation process. She would like to thank the Advisory Board, in particular the Advisory Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Pumpe from Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin and the students and colleagues involved, for the collegial exchange during this time. "I would also like to express my sincere thanks to Dr. Sommer and her team from Quality Management at the HSZG for their reliable and trusting cooperation and for their stringent moderation of the process."
The accreditation of study programs is a quality assurance instrument within the framework of quality management for studying and teaching at the HSZG. All degree programs at the HSZG must undergo such a quality review at least every seven years with the participation of external experts, the so-called Advisory Board.
The procedure is based on the HSZG review regulations issued by the Senate.
The degree program review procedure was established in 2017/2018 as part of the system accreditation at the HSZG. Since the start of the procedure, 24 degree programs from the six faculties have been assessed and accredited or certified to date.
Only through the successful system accreditation and its recognition by the Accreditation Council in October 2019 is it possible for the HSZG to further develop and accredit or certify its degree programs independently as part of this assessment procedure.
