Crowdfunding makes it possible to bring projects and ideas to life with the help of the public. In this workshop, you’ll gain hands-on experience in how to successfully fund real or fictional projects through crowdfunding—from the initial idea to the finished campaign. Using examples, we’ll introduce the most important crowdfunding models and platforms and explain their suitability for different projects.
You’ll learn how to structure your project, set realistic goals, and present your campaign in the best possible way. The focus will be on communication, storytelling, and community-building: How can you specifically target and engage supporters through various channels? You’ll also learn how to design rewards creatively and cost-effectively to ensure your campaign’s success.
In the workshop, you’ll develop your own or fictional projects—either individually or in a team—and apply what you’ve learned directly. The goal is to equip you with the necessary know-how to use crowdfunding effectively and sustainably to finance and promote your projects.
