You can start a dual or cooperative degree course at the HSZG with a (technical) Abitur. You can find all the basic information about the dual/cooperative study program on the main page for the KIA study model.
Here you will find all the options specifically for prospective international students:
Study in Germany - with practice
This study program is aimed at international prospective students with a recognized C1 language certificate or a completed Studienkolleg.
After fulfilling these requirements, you can start a cooperative study program at the university - in the KIA or KIAdirekt model
KIA
Engineering studies parallel to a recognized, chamber-certified vocational training (IHK or HWK).
KIAdirekt
Regular degree course with firmly integrated practical phases in the company during the lecture-free period.
You already have a language certificate recognized by our university with a minimum level of C1 or have passed the FSP or DSH final examination at the Studienkolleg.
You can apply for an apprenticeship at one of our KIA companies every year from September (approx. one year before your apprenticeship starts). You can find an overview here.
Can't find the company of your choice? Just talk to them - we'll help you get in touch!
You will need the contract with the KIA company to apply for a dual or cooperative study program at the HSZG, which is possible every year from May.
You can apply online via the application portal.
Once you have the training contract and have been admitted to university, you are part of the KIA family.
We will celebrate this at the KIA Shuttle Start - the welcome event for all KIAs.
As a rule, the four-week basic training in the company begins on September 1. During this time, you will be familiarized with your tasks and make your first contacts with your new colleagues.
You also have the opportunity to participate free of charge in the preliminary courses free of charge.
Your dual or cooperative study program starts in October. You can find the exact schedule below.
If you do not yet have a language certificate and would like to study in Germany, we will prepare you specifically for the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP) or the Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (DSH) at the Studienkolleg of the Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz (HSZG) - without tuition fees. At the end, you will receive the language certificate required for application to the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.
Please note the dates and deadlines of the Studienkolleg so that we can process your application.
The Studienkolleg prepares you optimally for studying in Germany. After passing the exams, you will receive a language certificate required for admission to university.
You can already apply for an apprenticeship at one of our KIA companies during the preparatory course and conduct the first interviews. You can find an overview here.
