KIA international

Study in Germany - with practice

This study program is aimed at international prospective students with a recognized C1 language certificate or a completed Studienkolleg. After fulfilling these requirements, you can start a cooperative study program at the university - in the KIA or KIAdirekt model

KIA
Engineering studies parallel to a recognized, chamber-certified vocational training (IHK or HWK).

KIAdirekt
Regular degree course with firmly integrated practical phases in the company during the lecture-free period.

The KIA (sandwich-style) degree course at the HSZG enabled me to combine theory and practice directly with a company right from the start. I was able to gain valuable practical experience early on and was financially secure at the same time. Even after three years, I am still very glad that I chose the KIA (sandwich-style) degree course at the HSZG.

How do I apply for the KIA (sandwich-style) degree course?

University entrance qualification

Find a practice partner

You can apply for an apprenticeship at one of our KIA companies every year from September (approx. one year before your apprenticeship starts). You can find an overview here.

Can't find the company of your choice? Just talk to them - we'll help you get in touch!

Apply for the course

You will need the contract with the KIA company to apply for a dual or cooperative study program at the HSZG, which is possible every year from May.

You can apply online via the application portal.

Welcome to KIA!

Once you have the training contract and have been admitted to university, you are part of the KIA family.

We will celebrate this at the KIA Shuttle Start - the welcome event for all KIAs.

As a rule, the four-week basic training in the company begins on September 1. During this time, you will be familiarized with your tasks and make your first contacts with your new colleagues.

You also have the opportunity to participate free of charge in the preliminary courses free of charge.
