What does the HSZG have to do with clubs? More than you might think at first glance.
Since 2018, the Dreiländereck Adult Education Center and the HSZG have been cooperating on the Saxony5 project. The aim is to make the university's knowledge and research visible to "non-students" and all citizens of the region. The adult education center is of course a recognized institution with a lot of experience in this field.
This year's cooperation kicked off on Saturday with the Association Summit. Why an event for associations? Because there are active, open-minded and inquisitive people at work who can use all the support they can get. As part of the collaboration with the VHS, there will also be a joint event series "Citizens meet science" from the second half of 2019.
Sophie Herwig from the HSZG's public relations department was present at the association summit, taking the participants on a tour of the possibilities of the social media world and then explaining how Instagram works in a very practical way. Established greats such as Matthias Daberstiel (fundraising) and Dr. Stefan Meyer (networks) also passed on their knowledge. However, space was also created for participants to share their experiences and for questions and suggestions from the participants to the speakers.
The amazingly diverse range of participants, the event, which was sold out to the last seat, and the really high-quality speakers were a source of delight. The event was organized by Rene Seidel from the VHS - many thanks for that.
