"Team Öko 2017" on November 3 ensured that ecology and environmental protection students got to know each other better.
Getting to know your fellow students better was the aim of the "Team Öko 2017" event, which was offered to students of Ecology and Environmental Protection NÖb17 on November 3, 2017. Together with the Ecology and Environmental Protection department of the Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences, the Careers Service 's "Learning to Learn" project organized this new format. The 20 participants were able to get to know each other better in the morning with playful elements.
The participants then gathered knowledge and experience in a world cafe setting on topics such as group and team work, personality, social roles and corporate culture. The basic idea of the exercise was to show the participants that they already have a lot of knowledge and expertise as a group and that this can be supplemented by various offers, e.g. from the Careers Service at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.
The afternoon event included subject-specific tasks that the students had to work on and solve at Lake Olbersdorf. The new students not only got to know the course content better, but also Lake Olbersdorf and its history, flora and fauna. In addition to the technical knowledge, the focus was on having fun and solving tasks together. The lecturers present had the opportunity to be there, get to know the students better and answer questions about their studies. After the convivial evaluation in the Dezi-Bar student club, all participants agreed to offer this format again next winter semester.
