The aim is to support, accompany and advise students at the start of their studies.
In the project area "Advice, guidance and support for students" of the "Diversity as strength" project, the focus is on professionally guided student support. The aim is to support, accompany and advise students at the start of their studies.
SbS (Students Advise Students) was successfully developed and tested at the Faculty of Social Sciences and then expanded to all faculties at the university. All student advisors receive professional training and support during the project period and, in addition to free further training in the areas of university policy, university structure, advising and interviewing, receive a certificate, personal references and a platform to get involved and try things out. By participating in the project, the students' social skills in particular are strengthened and expanded, which are attributed an increasingly important role in all areas of practice, research and professional life. The students themselves are also the best experts when it comes to questions about everyday study life, study organization and student life.
