Event on "Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and studying" to provide information on May 17.
"People who can behave properly will do so." Loosely based on this quote by Bo Hejlskov Elvèn, the Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences and the ZWT will be holding a joint information event on the topic:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and studying
on 17.05. (Thursday) from 14.30 to 16.30 in House Z IV b (Room 1.01)
The event (lecture and discussion) will focus on students who, due to their personality traits, require the attention of professors and staff for special teaching & learning arrangements as well as for the design of examination performances.
Personal limitations, e.g. caused by autism, are often not recognizable and assessable for lecturers, examiners and staff with an advisory function. In order for these students to be able to study "barrier-free", they need adequate conditions. The Saxon Higher Education Freedom Act as well as the study and examination regulations of the degree programs provide for the instrument of compensation for disadvantages.
The lecture is about:
Lecturer: Michael Knothe
Specialist advisor ASS
Landesamt für Schule und Bildung Bautzen
This event is aimed at all members of the university, especially those with responsibility in the committees, as well as students.
Online registration is possible via www.hszg.de/hochschuldidaktik
The information event is not a further education course!
