You never stop learning!

Current offers from the area of "Lifelong Learning" ensure an individual increase in qualifications.

The continuing education opportunities at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences are as varied as they are exciting and future-oriented. Whether it is part-time or part-study, for university didactic programs tailored to teaching or continuing education courses aimed at specific professional or entrepreneurial groups. Courses with certificates tailored to the respective target group and sector ensure an individual increase in qualifications and thus make a significant contribution to career planning.

In spring 2018, there will once again be a wide range of courses to choose from, for which interested parties can still register.

 

Further training alongside work and studies

Part-time continuing education and supplementary courses with certificates are offered with varying durations and for different sectors.

This includes the further education course: "Health management: methods of good self-care - application course".

The basic course is primarily aimed at professional groups who are exposed to high levels of psychological or social stress. It revolves around the topic of self-care. Employers can help employees to stay healthy and productive by creating suitable framework conditions. Ultimately, everyone is responsible for their own well-being and how they look after it. This training course deals with what exactly you can do for this, what methods there are for maintaining your own working capacity and how you can also enable others to take good care of themselves.

The course starts on 27.04.2018. A maximum of 14 places are available.

Management systems for specialists and managers - the IMS seminar series for companies

The IMS seminar series is aimed at specialists and managers in companies. It is a joint training package of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences and TÜV Rheinland Akademie GmbH. A total of six seminar dates are offered within one year (starting in August).

Depending on customer requirements, legal specifications or internal company objectives, issues relating to quality, environmental, occupational health and safety, IT security or energy management systems will be addressed. On the basis of interactive knowledge transfer, the training team guides the participants to work on specific tasks/cases from their companies using the knowledge imparted. The aim is to develop concrete results and solutions.

The next course in the IMS seminar series is entitled "Life cycle analysis - requirements and implementation" and will take place on 27.02.2018 and is primarily aimed at environmental management officers. You can register online here.

 

University didactic training courses

The next HSD course will take place on 02.02.2018. Under the topic "Humor as a resource for university teaching", the seminar will discuss how humor is increasingly recognized and used as an important tool for shaping intra- and interpersonal processes in education.

The one-day training is a recognizable course in the Saxon. Certificate program of the HDS, Module 2 "Teaching and Learning". Online registrations are here possible.

 

Lifelong learning also includes the courses offered by the Children's Academy and the Senior College. Scientists from various disciplines introduce children aged eight to 12 to the exciting world of science. Scientific lectures, discussions, seminars and excursions are the focus of the Seniorenkolleg, which is aimed at interested older citizens of the district.
