Cooperation agreement signed between the University Didactics Center and the e-learning working group.
Cooperation agreement signed between the Higher Education Didactic Center Saxony (HDS) and the e-learning working group of the Saxony Rectors' Conference.
"As modern universities, we are responsible for the sustainable education of our young academics. In view of the current challenges of increasing digitalization, we must therefore deal even more intensively with issues of higher education didactics and educational policy. The cooperation between the HDS and the e-learning working group opens up new avenues for us."
says Prof. Dr. Barbknecht, Chairman of the Saxony Rectors' Conference.
On behalf of the State Rectors' Conference, the chairman of the management of the Saxon Centre for Higher Education Didactics, Prof. Dr. Thomas Hofsäss (Leipzig University) and the spokesman of the e-learning working group, Prof. Dr. Thomas Köhler (Dresden University of Technology) signed a cooperation agreement for the two institutions. With the support of the Saxon State Ministry of Science and the Arts, the existing cooperation is to be intensified and framework conditions and offers are to be created for lecturers at Saxon universities to promote didactically sound teaching in the field of digitized higher education.
The agreement focuses on coordinated consulting and services for the universities and their implementation in research and development projects.
"Both the Higher Education Didactics Center and the e-learning working group stand for the high quality standards that Saxon universities have formulated for teaching and learning in the 21st century. The mandate of the cooperation agreement now opens up new opportunities for both institutions to continue to meet these standards in the future"
explains Dr. Jens Schulz, head of the working group's office.
The quality standards of the two institutions will also be harmonized in the awarding of contracts on the basis of SMWK grants and a joint pool of external experts will be established. In addition to activating existing innovation potential, the collaboration will also have a broad impact.
"The University Didactics Center has shown how to design a Saxony-wide program in such a way that there are also attractive further training courses for teachers in the area. For the future, we look forward to the additional expertise that will be brought in through the cooperation with the AK E-Learning and should enable new offers in the field of digital higher education"
emphasizes Prof. Dr. Thomas Hofsäss, Vice-Rector for Education and International Affairs at Leipzig University and Chairman of the HDS Management Board.
