In his presentation, Johannes Meyer discussed changed working principles in the field of adult education.
On June 13, Johannes Meyer, project manager at Sächsisches Umschulungs- und Fortbildungswerk (SUFW) in Dresden-Briesnitz, gave a lecture to students on the topic of "Social work / social management in the context of change and financing models".
The starting point of his discussion was the changed working basis in the field of adult (further) education, which has undergone a major structural change in recent years. After the predominantly flat-rate offers, the idea of quality sustainability is now gaining ground. Mr. Meyer was able to report on his diverse experiences at the SUFW in this regard. As his responsibilities also include the conceptualization of new offers, he spoke in a second part of his presentation in particular on the question of the appropriate source of funding. The various advantages and disadvantages of funding from state or federal funding programs, foundations or European funding programs were explained. The European Social Fund, in particular, offers many opportunities for individual, long-term and results-oriented social work if justified accordingly.
This was followed by a short, intensive exchange with the participants, during which further cooperation was not ruled out.
