The Vice-Rectors for Education and for Studies and Teaching as well as the employees from the Quality Management department of the five Saxon universities of applied sciences (HAW) met on November 27, 2015 in the newly renovated part of building Z I in Zittau. After the joint welcome of the guests from the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau, the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida, the HTW Dresden and the HTWK Leipzig by the Vice President Education and International Affairs, Prof. Heidger, the group initially split into two parallel events.
For their part, the Vice-Rectors exchanged views on current teaching and QM-specific topics on this day. The workshop for QM employees focused on the mutual exchange of information on the use of information technologies in the course of documenting processes and document management. In this context, the participating universities formulated minimum requirements for IT-supported process and document management. In this context, the QM team at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences presented the prototype of its university-specific portal, which will be accessible to employees via the intranet at the beginning of next year and will provide a wide range of information in a concentrated form. The QM network has been meeting regularly since 2014 for workshops on various QM-specific topics at the locations of the cooperating universities. Those present also agreed on how to proceed. The next workshop will take place in Zwickau at the beginning of February. This meeting will then be dedicated to the improvement system. Further information on the university network can be found on the joint
website of the Saxon universities of applied sciences
Finally, the Vice-Rectors and the QM staff met again for a final discussion on the interfaces between the topics and results of the day.
