Better to prevent than to check!
This has been the motto of the Tutoring Office for several years now as it works to provide students with the best possible support in problem subjects.
It works like this:
If you are a student with a problem subject, you can first check the website to see if a suitable tutorial already exists. If this is not the case, you can simply contact the tutorial office (House ZVII, Room 401). This is possible either by e-mail(tutorien@hszg.de) or in person during office hours, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 - 12:30 .
The general need will then be checked first, as a tutorial may only be offered if several students have problems in a subject. One-to-one tuition is unfortunately not possible.
If there is a general need, a suitable tutor will be sought, ideally from a higher semester in the same degree program. Further details must also be clarified (frequency of tutorials, dates, focus, etc.). After consultation, the tutor will then be employed as a student assistant and may lead the tutorial with immediate effect.
It is also possible to apply to become a tutor. If you are studying here, see a need for a tutor in a particular subject and are a high achiever in that subject yourself, then simply get in touch with us. We will be happy to find you a job!
Best regards,
