Lecturers at the HSZG use the semester break for further training in university didactics.
On March 3 and 4, the university didactics training course "Advice and motivation in teaching" with Jörg Heidig took place in the newly renovated Z I teaching building in Zittau. 13 lecturers from our university will use this opportunity for a cross-faculty and teaching-related exchange. The topic of the seminar is current application knowledge from counseling and communication psychology in connection with concretely applicable techniques of motivational and counseling conversation management. The seminar focuses on the "third way" of shaping relationships between teachers and students, which goes beyond knowledge transfer, rationality of purpose and authority and is described as follows: Teachers are "advisors" and "helpers" for students despite all hierarchies. Teachers support students in their task of developing an interest in a subject and studying it with commitment.
