Exhibition "The luck of having a good teacher"

Joint exhibition of the ZINT project and the Neißegrundschule Görlitz in the Saxon State Parliament

From May 19 - June 30, 2016, an exhibition of pupils' work entitled "On the luck of having a good teacher" will take place in the Saxon State Parliament. Children from the 3rd and 4th grade of the Neißegrundschule Görlitz answered the questions in preparation for the 3rd ZINT conference last year:

-             How is learning fun?

-             What should a teacher be like?

-             What should he or she be particularly good at?

The thoughts were captured in a large collaborative artwork by class 3 and in 52 role and language pictures by class 4. The results are an impressive representation of how lessons and teachers should be from the pupils' point of view so that learning is fun and all pupils can learn successfully at school .

As part of the exhibition, the ZINT project "Developing inclusive schools together" presents project goals and content as well as opportunities for  supporting schools through networking and in-depth training courses to strengthen sustainability. To date, the ZINT project has trained around 500 teachers from all types of schools in the design of integration/inclusion processes in schools on a part-time basis. The aim is to expand the ZINT project as a Saxon platform for further training for inclusion in schools and cooperation between educational institutions and specialists in the field of integrative/inclusive education.

The ZINT project contributes to empowering teachers to professionally implement teaching and school tasks under the aspects of diversity and the participation of all people in terms of inclusive education.

On May 19, the exhibition will be opened with a vernissage at 5 p.m., at which the young artists will present their works themselves.

On June 7 at 5 p.m., an expert discussion entitled "Inclusion in Saxony - requirements and expectations of a new school law" will take place. Among other things, the following questions will be addressed: What successes have already been achieved and what can we learn from these experiences? What requirements and expectations are there with regard to the new school law? These and other questions will be explored in the discussion with the participants. One of the guests will be Prof. Dr. Anke Langner, Professor of Educational Science with a focus on inclusive education from the Technical University of Dresden.

Interested parties are cordially invited to attend.
