Report on the third production in Großhennersdorf
From June 12 to 14, 2025, the third edition of Future Production took place in Großhennersdorf as part of the "JuBReg - Jugend bewegt Region, Region bewegt Jugend" project. Young people from Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic as well as students of social work at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences came together to actively participate in the preparation of the Future Festival 2025. This will be held on 13 September 2025 as part of the city festival in Hoyerswerda.
The participants worked in several groups on content and artistic contributions to the festival. The production team focused on planning and organizing the festival's content, designing discussion panels and discussing public relations and external communication. At the same time, the "Action Art" and "Music" groups worked on the artistic presentation for the festival. The young people selected and curated the artistic works created during the Future Camps in the fields of music and performance in order to bring the young people's perspective to life at the festival. The students also made an artistic contribution to the festival: During the three days, they worked on their sound installation, which brings together the voices of the young people from all three countries and allows them to speak in a common soundscape.
A joint excursion to Hoyerswerda on Saturday enabled the participants to get to know the central festival locations in advance. They were able to get an idea of how and where their work will be presented to the public in September.
The Future Festival on September 13, 2025 will make the results of the entire project cycle visible. On the premises of the Konrad Zuse Museum and the adjoining area, YVA will present the resulting artistic works in which the young people have processed their concerns, wishes and visions for the future of their region. The program will be complemented by discussion rounds and exchange formats focusing on young voices and the participation of young people.
The full festival program will be published shortly.
