At the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, a part-time position (20 hours/week) is available at the earliest possible date as a

Laboratory Engineer Technical Thermodynamics (m/f/d)
- Reference: 61-2025 LI Thermo -

to be filled for a limited period until 31.08.2027.

The position of laboratory engineer (m/f/d) includes in particular the following tasks in the Technical Thermodynamics laboratory:

  • practical services for the classes / courses in the following subjects

- Technical Thermodynamics I - Energy Theory
- Technical Thermodynamics II - Heat Transfer
- Technical Thermodynamics III - Process Thermodynamics

for the degree programs in energy and environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, green engineering, industrial engineering and, if applicable, others in accordance with the Saxon Service Task Ordinance,

  • Operation, maintenance and care of all equipment and facilities of the laboratory as well as the hardware and software of the Department of Technical Thermodynamics,
  • Organizational and technical preparation of internships, participation in the execution of internship experiments and preparation of internship documents as well as
  • Preparation of and compliance with safety and occupational health and safety regulations, including instructing students on the practicals.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • university degree in the field of energy and environmental engineering or mechanical engineering or an equivalent degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering,

  • methodical, didactic and communicative skills for university teaching using modern technologies and e-learning,

  • several years of experience in teaching in the field of technical thermodynamics.

If the personal requirements are met, remuneration will be paid up to pay group 11 TV-L. The 1st place of work is Zittau.
