Experience, design, apply and promote research

The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG) is one of the strongest research universities for applied sciences in Germany. Research at the HSZG means taking up current challenges and developing practical solutions - in the main research areas: Energy and environment, materials, structure and surfaces as well as transformation processes in the economy and society. Engineering, natural and social sciences work closely together at both locations in Zittau and Görlitz. This interdisciplinary connection makes research at the HSZG visible and effective: regionally, nationally and internationally. Students are involved in research projects at an early stage and new findings flow directly into teaching. Research is the result of the interaction of many players: students, researchers, companies, sponsors and social partners work together to translate knowledge into impact.
