This is the motto of the upcoming ZINT conference in October this year. Dr. Petra Koinzer gives an outlook.
The 6th conference in the ZINT project "Developing inclusive schools together" will take place from 25 - 27 October 2018 under the theme "Building bridges - shaping transitions".
Building bridges means creating connections, forming alliances, finding and developing common ground, constructive exchange and finding solutions together.
The conference will kick off on Thursday, 25.10.2018 with a visit to the Oberlausitzische Bibliothek der Wissenschaften and the Physikalisches Kabinett as well as a network meeting of multipliers for integration for interested conference participants.
The conference is in the 10th year of the existence of the projectZINTproject at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. For this reason, there will be a keynote speech and an open project conference on Friday, October 26, 2018 for interested teachers and head teachers who want to find out more about selected focal points of inclusive school development on the basis of the new school law, building bridges between experienced multipliers and the curious, so to speak. The Minister of Education, the Vice-Rector for Education and International Affairs at Leipzig University and the Rector of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences have been invited to open the event. In the afternoon, various workshop topics will offer different opportunities to engage with the process of inclusive school development.
The conference will conclude on Friday with hands-on workshops in which educators will have the opportunity to engage with the conference topic in different but active ways.
One of the main speakers at this year's conference will be Prof. Dr. phil. Bernd Ahrbeck, Professor of Psychoanalytic Pedagogy at the IPU Berlin (International Psychoanalytic University Berlin). Prof. Ahrbeck brings specialist expertise from his work at the Institute for Rehabilitation Sciences at Humboldt UNI, Pedagogy in Behavioral Disorders, and complements this with his specialist knowledge of psychoanalytic pedagogy. Psychoanalysis is a "life science" because it understands the human being as an individual personality, but also as a social and cultural being. In this way, we are building a bridge to inclusive education and school development.
In the evening, we would like to thank the multipliers for integration in particular for their work in supporting pupils, teachers and parents by organizing and supporting successful learning and inclusive school development.
On Saturday, 27.10.2018, further workshops will help to further differentiate the conference program. And we want to clarify: How can the ZINT project continue to support schools in the future in working together in cooperation networks and in inclusive school development?
Networks and partnerships
The orientation of a cooperation network depends on how it succeeds in meaningfully combining the different interests of the independently operating members, focusing on common goals and thus developing a common identity and added value.
To this end, we want to build on the strengths and potentials of the active networkers, sharpen the common goals and, in a further step, develop new ideas for the benefit of all schools through active networking:
- Create learning and development space for networkers
- Expand communication opportunities
- Engage in solution-focused networking
We want to continue our successful cooperation and partnership with the Neisse elementary school and the Comenius bookshop.
