to be filled for a limited period until 31.10.2027 .

The "Study Success KOM³" project at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG) aims to increase student success through the targeted promotion of study, digital and problem-solving skills. The focus is on innovative, interdisciplinary learning arrangements that prepare students from all disciplines for the demands of the digital transformation. The core objective is to reduce dropouts, promote equal opportunities and remove barriers to accessing educational opportunities. A particular focus of the project is the implementation of adaptable learning formats that can be flexibly adapted to individual learning needs and promote basic digital skills. The project thus contributes to sustainably securing the demand for skilled workers in Saxony and supports the regional economy by training digitally competent graduates.

The "Digital Learning Snacks" sub-project aims to develop short, adaptable digital learning units (digital learning snacks) that promote the acquisition of basic digital skills and support self-directed learning. The learning snacks are designed to be flexible and accessible, in particular to improve the compatibility of studies, family and work.

The position includes the following tasks in particular:

  • Needs analysis on location-related focal points and didactic design of adaptable learning formats to promote students' digital skills,
  • Development of recommendations for standards for study achievements to be recognized as part of the degree program based on the concept of "Open digital Badges",
  • Development and piloting of teaching-learning formats to promote students' digital skills to make the educational offer more flexible in line with demand (so-called digital learning snacks),
  • Systematic evaluation of the tested formats and their adaptation/optimization based on user feedback,
  • Regular presentation of the project results in the cooperation network as well as scientific publications and scientific communication on the project content,
  • Implementation of the project results at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed scientific university degree,
  • Proven professional experience in a university context (experience in quality assurance and quality development in a dynamic project environment at universities),
  • experience/ in-depth specialist knowledge in the field of educational technology and/or higher education/media didactics and instructional psychology with a focus on promoting students' digital skills,
  • Knowledge in the development and implementation of digitally supported forms of teaching, learning and examination (incl. experience in working with learning management systems),
  • Experience in teaching and learning research ("Scholarship of Teaching and Learning") in the context of digital higher education.

In addition, the following are desirable

  • Experience in reporting on teaching-related third-party funded projects,
  • Subject-specific didactic skills and knowledge in dealing with special AI applications.
