As part of the cross-university research project "Saxony⁵" - the innovation alliance of the five Saxon universities of applied sciences (https://www.hszg.de/forschung/transferprojekte/saxony5) - we are looking for a committed person who would like to help shape and strengthen the transfer between science, business and society. For us, transfer means transferring scientific knowledge, skills and potential from the university to other areas of society - and vice versa. This includes research transfer, knowledge transfer, personnel transfer and the so-called third mission - transfer to civil society.

We are looking for an enthusiastic employee who wants to make our research visible and actively promote the exchange between the university and society. You can expect a varied role at the interface between academia, practice and the public - with room for your own ideas and creativity.

The position includes the following activities in particular:

  • Further development of the transfer strategy of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences: Development of an updated, future-oriented transfer strategy with the active involvement of all relevant status groups - especially in close dialog with researchers and innovation actors - as well as coordination with central university committees and external partners,
  • Supporting the project management and the transfer manager(s) in the development of continuation scenarios for the CELSIUZ transfer space and further development of the "CELSIUZ" transfer space at the HSZG (https://www.hszg.de/forschung/transferprojekte/saxony5/celsiuz) together with the project team,
  • Development of a transfer instrument library together with the transfer managers of the other universities,
  • Supporting the transfer manager(s) in the development of a research and project overview of the HSZG,
  • Supporting transfer events and public relations work.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed university degree with reference to the above-mentioned area of responsibility,
  • scientific knowledge or practical professional experience in the field of knowledge or transfer management,
  • ability to present complex scientific content in a way that is understandable and appropriate to the target group,
  • Confident and goal-oriented communication skills with different target groups,
  • high ability to work in a team,
  • Knowledge and experience in project management as well as in the development and implementation of digital process designs,
  • very good command of written and spoken German and a working knowledge of English.

In addition, the following are desirable

  • Empirical knowledge of research and technology transfer from scientific institutions to economic or social practice,
  • Professional experience in the university sector or at non-university research institutions,
  • Experience in the conception and development of a knowledge management system,
  • Experience in knowledge and technology transfer,
  • Experience in the operation of co-working and co-creation spaces or makerspaces.

  • a high level of commitment in the fulfillment of scientific tasks and in the development of the current state of research in the subject area as well as
  • Willingness and interest in further professional and personal development.

If the personal requirements are met, remuneration will be paid up to pay group 12 TV-L. The first place of work is Zittau.
