At the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz, in the Department of Finance and Project Administration, a part-time position (20 hours/week) is available at the earliest possible date as

Project Administration Clerk (m/f/d)
- Reference: 25-2025 SB Projects DFP-

to be filled for a limited period of two years.

 

The post holder has the following tasks in particular:

  • Administrative monitoring and controlling of externally funded projects in particular EU funding Just Transition Fund (JTF),
  • Ensuring compliance with various funding regulations,
  • Preparation of funding requests as well as interim and utilization reports,
  • Supporting asset accounting in the recording and valuation of fixed assets for projects,
  • Organizing and supporting external audits and processing objections,
  • Advising project managers on administrative and financial issues,
  • Preparing forecasts and reports as well as proposing solutions in the event of deviations,
  • Independent communication with project sponsors, funding bodies and other stakeholders.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed studies in the field of economics, industrial engineering or a comparable degree,
  • analytical, interdisciplinary thinking and quick comprehension skills,
  • Confident handling of MS Office, especially Excel, affinity for digital solutions,
  • high level of communication skills, in particular addressing internal and external stakeholders in an appropriate manner,
  • a working knowledge of English.

In addition, the following are desirable

  • Knowledge of the structure and organization of university business processes,
  • Knowledge and experience in university accounting and university-specific funding regulations and programs, especially JTF,
  • Knowledge of the HIS software used at the university,
  • Knowledge in dealing with funding portals, e.g. the SAB,
  • practical professional experience in administrative and financial project management.
