Project manager for cyber security project (m/f/d)
- Keyword: 26-2025 - Cybersecurity

to be filled for a limited period until 30.06.2028. An increase to full-time (40 hours/week) is planned until 31.12.2026.

The position includes the management of the cyber security project with the following focal points

  • Project coordination: central coordination of the planning, control and monitoring of an implementation project for an information security management system, including time, resource and action planning as well as organization and moderation of project committees and workshops.
  • Interface management: coordination and consultation between IT, data protection, information security officers and specialist departments.
  • Technical support: Development of concepts for roles and responsibilities, participation in risk analyses and protection needs assessments as well as creation of a catalog of measures.
  • Documentation & audit preparation: Support in the creation of ISMS documentation and preparation for internal and external audits.
  • Communication & sensitization: Collaboration in the development of a training concept for information security as well as support in communication with external consultants and audit organizations.

In addition, the job holder is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Joint project IT emergency planning: project coordination of the HSZG as part of the joint project "IT emergency plans for Saxon universities", including participation in the inventory of existing IT emergency plans, development of joint processes for IT emergencies, creation of target group-oriented training and communication documents, active participation in project meetings and regular reporting on project progress.
  • Data protection: Collaboration in the area of data protection, in particular support in the creation and maintenance of procedure directories in accordance with the GDPR

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed university degree in the field of economics, computer science, business informatics, IT security or a comparable course of study
  • Relevant professional experience
  • Sound knowledge of project management
  • Experience in the field of information security or IT security management

The following are also desirable

  • Knowledge of common standards such as BSI IT-Grundschutz or ISO 27001
  • Certifications in the field of information security are an advantage
  • Experience with IT documentation, audit preparation or process management
  • Knowledge in the area of data protection (DSGVO) helpful
