Outstanding achievements in cross-border cooperation in the Neisse-Nisa-Nysa Euroregion were honored.
On 7 December 2017, outstanding achievements in cross-border cooperation in the Neisse-Nisa-Nysa Euroregion were honored in a festive setting in the Steinhaus Bautzen.
Embedded in this event was the awarding of student work in the "Young Scientists" category. Prizes were awarded for work that contributed to solving euroregional tasks and problems.
This year's 1st prize in the "Young Scientists" category went to Ondřej MOŠ from the Technical University in Liberec for his outstanding results on the topic of "Social responsibility of family businesses in the Czech Republic".
A 2nd prize in this category was awarded to computer science student Stefan Strehler from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at our university for his outstanding achievements. He impressed the jury with his work on "Design and implementation of the 'Zielscheibe' application. Improving the success of courses at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and, in future, at other learning institutions in the Euroregion."
The "Zielscheibe" was developed at the HSZG and is available to everyone at https://zielscheibe.hszg.de/ freely available to everyone. This means that other (higher) education institutions can also use this tool. If there is interest, this application could also be made available in other languages at a later date. Educational institutions in Poland or the Czech Republic could then also benefit from it.
Another 2nd prize was awarded to Maja Wiśniowska from the Wrocław University of Economics, Branch Office for Regional Economy and Tourism in Jelenia Góra, for the results of her work "Cross-border cooperation in the development of tourism infrastructure using the example of the Neisse Euroregion".
Prof. Reinhardt Hassa, Chairman of the Association of the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz e.V. and the Rector, Prof. Friedrich Albrecht, offered their congratulations and presented prize money for this award.
It is thanks to the initiatives of the Academic Coordination Center of the universities in the Neisse Euroregion that this prize has now been awarded for the ninth time.
