As part of a project funded by the Sächsische Aufbaubank (SAB) entitled "International skilled workers for the regional economy - the potential of foreign students", the HSZG, University Development and Communication Department, is looking to fill a position (40 hours/week) at the earliest possible date as a

Coordinator (m/f/d)
- Reference: 43-2025 International student applicants -

to be filled for a limited period until 31.05.2026.

The project "International skilled workers for the regional economy" promotes the potential of foreign students at the HSZG Studienkolleg by bringing them into contact with offers from the regional economy at an early stage. This early engagement enables companies to attract young talent while they are studying at the university and to develop skilled workers for the region in the long term, which helps to secure the supply of skilled workers.

In this context, the project employee (m/f/d) is responsible for the following tasks in particular:

  • Recruiting prospective international students for the dual study program (KIA) at the HSZG,
  • Mentoring and application training for international prospective students,
  • Expansion of the company network of KIA cooperation partners,
  • Placing students with regional companies as part of the dual study program, for student work or as alumni,
  • Supporting public relations work for marketing the dual study program (e.g. trade fairs, workshops, news reports),
  • Project documentation, presentation and reporting, including evaluation,
  • administrative support for the KIA officers of the HSZG.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed university degree with reference to the above-mentioned area of responsibility,
  • good knowledge of the structure and current developments of the regional economy,
  • methodological competence in the field of education and consulting,
  • key digital skills,
  • ability to work strategically, conceptually and interdisciplinary,
  • High degree of teamwork,
  • Communication and social skills, especially in dealing with international students and
  • Confident and practical knowledge of German and English.

The following are also desirable

  • Further foreign language skills,
  • Knowledge and experience in project management, documentation and presentation.

  • Appropriate approach to the situation and addressees,
  • Enthusiasm,
  • interest in current developments and topics in science and teaching,
  • a structured, pragmatic way of working and a high level of reliability as well as
  • Willingness to travel and to work at both locations (Zittau and Görlitz).

Further information

If the personal and professional requirements are met, remuneration will be in pay group 11 TV-L. The 1st place of work is Zittau. A probationary period will be agreed.
