"Old school, new school, your school?" - Joint democracy conference in Görlitz

The City of Görlitz’s Partnership for Democracy is once again hosting a democracy conference in cooperation with the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. This year’s theme is “Old school, new school, your school?”—democracy education in schools and for children and young people. Using the question “How democratic are our schools?” as a starting point, we would like to discuss the situation in Görlitz, the conditions for success, and ways to provide support.

In light of the well-known radicalization, polarization, and conflicts, this topic is highly relevant to our society in general and to political life in our city in particular. These issues also directly concern the department of our students in the Faculty of Managerial and Cultural Studies and in the Master's degree programme in management of social change. We therefore very much hope you will be interested in and participate in our event. In addition, this event is open to anyone interested.
