Student Services Teaching Assistant (m/f/d)

initially for a limited period of 2 years.

As part of a joint strategic project between the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the University of Leipzig, a new degree course in secondary school teaching for special education is being introduced. To support the associated tasks in the area of student services, we are looking for a committed person who would like to play an active role in the design and implementation of this forward-looking project. The advertised administrative position offers you the opportunity to work in a cooperative university environment and to contribute to the successful introduction of an innovative range of courses.

The post holder will have the following tasks in particular:

  • Administrative support for the introduction of the teaching degree program for secondary schools with special education in close cooperation with the Faculty of Social Sciences and the central administration of Leipzig University,
  • Student services for the teaching degree program for secondary schools with special education at the Görlitz location,
  • Information and advice for staff and students in the area of study organization and examination law issues in connection with the teacher training course,
  • Implementation of the examination regulations for the teacher training course for secondary schools with special education with the help of Leipzig University's Campus Management System (e.g. registration for modules and examinations, monitoring of deadlines, configuration of examinations and management of examination results),
  • Recording student data in the HSZG campus management system,
  • Processing applications, preparing notifications and certificates, preparing final documents if necessary,
  • implementing decisions of the examination boards and
  • Preparation of overviews and statistics.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • University degree with reference to the above-mentioned area of responsibility,
  • Professional experience in administration,
  • service orientation,
  • personal, social and intercultural skills appropriate to the profile of responsibilities.

The following are also desirable

  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office,
  • Knowledge of University Administration and university structures,
  • English language skills level B2 CEFR,
  • Experience with campus management software.

Remuneration for tariff employees is paid up to pay group 9b TV-L if the professional and personal requirements are met. The 1st place of work is Görlitz.
