At the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, a position (40 hours/week) is available at the earliest possible date as a

 

Research Assistant (m/f/d) - Reference: WMA F-EI -

 

for an indefinite period. 

The position includes the following tasks:

  • Scientific services of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering / Computer Science, Department of Computer Science according to §§ 71 and 75 SächsHSFG i.V.m. § 7 para. 3 DAVOHS, in particular teaching tasks in the appointment areas of Fundamentals of Computer Science / Software Systems,
  • Coordinating the tasks of the faculty on behalf of the Dean, such as
    • Maintaining the study documents,
    • Managing the budget of the Department of Computer Science,
    • Preparation and follow-up of consultations and
    • management of the faculty's laboratories,
  • strategic planning of the computer pools.

 

The following knowledge and skills are required

 

  • Academic degree in the field of computer science (university diploma or master's degree or accredited master's degree from a university of applied sciences),
  • Knowledge and experience of the course and organization of business processes and scientific operations at the university,
  • Knowledge of funding guidelines and requirements in the area of third-party funding,
  • Knowledge and experience of university didactics,
  • extensive communication, organizational and social skills and
  • a working knowledge of English.

 

In addition, the following are desirable

 

  • Knowledge and experience of the process and organization of a faculty's teaching operations,
  • the ability to assess the constantly changing case situations with regard to different requirements and taking into account internal faculty peculiarities.

If the personal and professional requirements are met, remuneration will be paid up to pay group 13 TV-L. The 1st place of work is Görlitz.
