At the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, Studienkolleg, a part-time position (20 hours/week) is available from 01.03.2024 as part of a substitution arrangement as a

Teacher for special tasks - Economics/Business Administration (m/f/d)

to be filled for a limited period until 23.03.2024. In the event that the holder of the position takes parental leave, the university will endeavor to continue the replacement arrangement until 31.07.2025.

The position involves teaching courses to prepare mainly foreign applicants (m/f/d) for the assessment test for university admission in the subjects of economics and business administration on the basis of § 78 of the Law on Universities in the Free State of Saxony (SächsHSG). In addition, cooperation in academic self-administration is expected.

The following knowledge and skills are required

a university degree in the field of economics,
pedagogical and didactic skills in teaching,
teaching experience and enthusiasm,
very good knowledge of the German language,
experience in teaching courses with foreign students and
intercultural competence and sensitivity in dealing with foreign applicants.

The following are also desirable

University didactic knowledge and experience,
knowledge of university-related structures and processes and
other applicable language skills, especially in English.

Further information

The remuneration for tariff employees is in EG 10 TV-L if the professional requirements are met, and in EG 11 TV-L if they have a scientific university degree. The 1st place of work is Zittau.
