Setting the course for the future

The second personnel development commission completes its work and provides impetus in various fields of action.

The second Human Resources Development Commission of Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences completed its work on January 29, 2025. Over the past five years, it has supported the implementation of the 2019-2024 HR development concept and provided impetus in various fields of action.

Strategic support for important measures

Right at the beginning of its work, the commission decided to use the FH Personal and Professorinnenprogramm III programs specifically to support the HR development strategy. Various measures were launched or further developed in a total of eight meetings.

These include, among others

  • Staff induction: development of a further training program on equal treatment, IT security and data protection, among other things, and expansion of the mentoring system in onboarding.
  • Personnel management: Recommendation to establish a working group to develop guidelines for leadership and cooperation.
  • Staff motivation: evaluation and revision of the regulations for awarding performance-related pay and bonuses.
  • Staff qualification: Introduction of training courses for equal opportunities officers as participants in appointment committees and staff selection procedures.
  • Occupational safety and prevention: Support for line managers through workshops with Unfallkasse Sachsen and the occupational safety specialist.
  • Health management: Implementation of a university health management system to promote the health of all members of the university.
  • Recruitment: Introduction of application management software to increase efficiency in the HR department.


Composition of the commission

The commission was made up of the following members during the term of office from 2020 to 2025 Prof. Kratzsch, Ms. Hollstein (until 2023), Mr. Duscha, Prof.in Höse, Prof. Fulland, Ms. Ahrens and Ms. Kallweit.

The Rectorate thanked the members for their commitment at the last meeting on 29.01.2025. The official discharge of the commission took place by resolution of the Rectorate on 03.03.2025.

The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences will continue to develop its personnel development concept until 31.12.2026. This project is also part of the target agreement with the Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture and Tourism (SMWK). The third personnel development commission began its work on 29.04.2025.
