DESCRIPTION:Climate change\, growing global inequalities\, and resource scarcity—the future is full of challenges\, and sustainable development is crucial to overcoming them. To initiate and help shape processes such as ending global poverty and hunger—as outlined in the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—students\, as future decision-makers\, need specific skills. This raises the question for universities and faculty\: What contribution can education make to sustainable development? What skills must students acquire for the future? And how can teaching and learning be structured to support a changing learning culture?
