Managing multilingual websites - an example of good practice

Life can become easer for companies working on the internationalization of their businesses or web developers creating multilingual websites for their customers. Three EU agencies - the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the Translation Centre for the Bodies of the European Union (CdT) have created a management tool for multilingual websites - which has received an award and has been published as open source: source code on GitHub | EU-OSHA blog post.

Tobias Schlüter: "European public money has been used in a way that enables a great number of companies and individuals to turn the professional management of multilingual websites into a matter of course. This gives the EU clear competitive advantages on regional level in an environment characterized by growing digitalization. Advertising these advantages is one of the een's tasks at hand."

  • Culture and creative industries

The een's sector group Creative Industries currently represents more than 30 people from 17 countries. There is a lively exchange between the project members, enabling us to liaise with companies in the creative sector. The group’s quarterly newsletter informs about European funding programmes and includes offers and requests for cooperation from companies in the sector.
