Education, Information and Communication

The objective of the Institute for Education, Information and Communication (BIK) is to assist the transfer of its academic insights into the practical world and so to promote the critical reflection, appreciation and ongoing development of inter-human and technology-based structures and processes of communication, information and education in social and industrial contexts.

Among the Institute's essential fields of activity are
  • interdisciplinary, application-oriented research into issues of inter-human and technology-based communication, information and education - especially from the points of view of psychology, informatics, linguistics and pedagogy.
  • the provision of advisory and expert opinion services on current issues that fall within the Institute’s remit.
