Indo-German Center for Higher Education (IGCHE)

The IGHCE is a group of Indian and German universities seeking to offer students from both cultures insights into the academic and economic system of their host country. Indian students receive intensive integrated German language training at their home university before they depart for studies in Germany. Here they continue their academic training in German until they reach degree level. German students in India study in English. IGCHE students take a deep dive into foreign culture. After graduation, they can have a major influence on promoting further Indo-German cooperation.

The IGCHE is currently run by eight German and three Indian universities (August 2019).
