Application Procedure

Important information for foreign applicants:

Please note that all our degree courses are taught exclusively in German, except for Information and Communication Management (BSc), and Mechatronics (MEng).

All our 26 undergraduate courses (for students who just graduated from school) begin in winter semesters only. Some of our Master’s courses start in summer semesters. Applications for entry for later semesters will also be accepted.

Applications can be filed from 1 May to 15 July for the year’s winter semester, and from mid-December to 15 January for the following summer semester. We may accept later applications, if there are still vacancies in the course at hand.

Starting with the 2017 winter semester, we partake in the German Foundation for University Admissions’ nationwide service procedure. Applications for our degree course in Social Work must be made online, from mid-May to July 15, 2017 on You can find additional information on your application via Hochschulstart here. [German]
