The challenges in the coming decades are great to make the transition from fossil energy sources, including nuclear energy, to a sustainable energy supply based on renewable energy resources.

As a graduate engineer in energy and environmental engineering, you can make a significant contribution to solving the global energy problem in the 21st century and make your own personal contribution to realizing this vision.

The development and establishment of a decentralized, environmentally compatible energy supply, the use of innovative energy storage systems, the efficient and economical use of energy and the safe operation of radiation technology systems are just some of the many tasks in which you can specialize during your studies. If you want to take responsibility for society and the environment, the diploma program in energy and environmental engineering is the right step for your professional future.

It's your choice

For the degree program in Energy and Environmental Engineering, you can choose between the regular diploma program or the KIA program.

What is KIA?

In the KIA variant (cooperative studies with integrated training), the diploma program is very well suited for future students who want to combine theory and practice. In addition to theoretical knowledge, you will also receive practical training and at the end of your studies you will not only receive a diploma, but also a Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) certificate.
