All experts, decision-makers and consumers agree on one thing: cultural offerings of all kinds enhance the quality of life of individuals, companies and regions. Worldwide networking tends to reinforce the trend toward cultural leisure activities in the regions. Since many cultural offerings and institutions - especially those of so-called high culture - in Germany are financed by the public sector, the problem arises that there is a need for action due to limited financial resources of the municipalities on the one hand and growing financial needs of these institutions on the other. Creative solutions to problems are needed here. In addition, the trendy areas of the cultural and creative industries are urgently looking for interdisciplinary and creatively trained talent, for which this degree program, with its versatile mix of cultural and management modules, lends itself like few others.
